It is official, Heidi Mae is a McCormick!
We took her by the Humane Society Monday and signed all the papers
and she is now ours FURREVER! She got to say goodbye to all the sweet
people who saved her and loved on them for a little while and then she
was ready to go home!!
I have to brag I have the sweetest husband, well let me take that
back for everybody that knows Jason, I have the sweetest husband most of
the time. ;) But this Valentine’s Day he was extra sweet. As you saw
on my earlier post All Dogs Go To Heaven
Jason and me have been fostering a dog named, Heidi Mae. Well
fostering has turned into full out love for this special dog and I have
been wanting to call her ours for a while now. But Jason being the
logical thinker that he is and not the go with your heart kindof person I
am has been saying maybe we shouldn’t keep her. Well on Valentine’s
Day I took off work and traveled to Jackson, where Jason was working so
that we could go to the Eli Young Band concert that night. I thought
that the concert was going to be our gifts to each other but my sweet
husband (and he just loves when I get all mushy) had more in store for
me. When I arrived at the hotel he handed me this card
I was a little slow on the whole meaning of the card so my reaction
was “aww cute, I’ll have to put this pic on my desk at work.” And Jason
goes “You know this means I’m letting your keep Heidi.” Then I got
really excited, it was the perfect gift!
We are so excited to have Heidi Mae as a part of the McCormick family
and she’s the perfect addition. She has come so far from when we first
got her. Reilly Quinn and Rosa Belle love her and she just fits in
with us.
The rest of Valentine’s Day was really fun. We did a little shopping
and then met up with Taylor and Jason’s co-worker Jason at Keifer’s for
supper. After that we went to the rodeo to see The Eli Young Band.
Eli Young was great and the rodeo was neat. And it was wonderful
catching up with Taylor.
Here are so other pictures from the night:
“So I’ll shake some hands Chase that calling star I’m gonna drive so fast I can only drive so far Gonna lay my bricks And park my car Gonna sow my seeds somewhere But home is where you are”

Happy Birthday Jason! Today my awesome husband turns 28. I am so blessed to be his wife and I am so thankful for him.
“God gave me you for the ups and downs God gave me you for the days of doubt For when I think I’ve lost my way There are no words here left to say, it’s true God gave me you”
Blake Shelton, God Gave Me You
Today I turn 27! Can’t wait to see what this year has in store for me!
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:
a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiates 3:1-8
Jamie and I met up for our annual tradition and attended the Miss
University pageant. Laura came along with us this time and it was so
much fun! We had to overcome a few obstacles to get to the pageant
(like the major thunderstorm that happened at the same time we were
meeting and getting pulled over by OPD because I forgot to turn my
lights on, thankfully he just laughed at me and let me go) but we
finally arrived! We had awesome seats and we just had the best time.
We had the winner picked from the beginning and she did amazing! I
think she will represent Ole Miss well at Miss Mississippi.
I realized after that this was the 4th year Jamie and me had gone to
the pageant together. Our tradition predates both of our marriages and I
hope it continues for many years!
