O Lord, Our Lord, How Majestic Is Your Name

October 22, 2012 will forever be one of my most favorite days and I want to remember every minute.
Jason and I went to our last doctor’s appointment and found out that Lane Henry was measuring  10 lbs 8 oz so my doctor moved up delivery to the following Monday.  We checked into the hospital at 6:00 that morning and Lane Henry McCormick arrived at 8:21 am.  Everything went smoothly.  I had to be put completely asleep for the csection because the epidural would not take, but other than that everything went as planned.  He weighed 10 lbs 5 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long.  And he was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen.  The rest of the day was a blur of visitors.  It was wonderful to share our joy with so many people.  Throughout the entire day this verse/hymn was on my mind “O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the Earth” Psalm 8:9.  How wonderful is our Lord to bless Jason and me with this perfect child. I have a new understanding for the depth of our Father’s love for us.  Jason and I are so thankful for this wonderful baby boy.

Every Good And Perfect Gift

Jason and I got exciting news at our last doctor’s appointment for Lane Henry, we will get to meet him in no more than 13 days!  It looks like he is still ahead of the game and very BIG!  At our appointment on October 5th he was measuring 9.6 lbs on the ultrasound and at our appointment on October 11th he was measuring 10 lbs.  These measurements are around 4 weeks ahead of where he is suppose to be right now.  The measurements could be off a pound or 2 in either direction, but they are still really big for this stage.  Because of the extremely big measurements my doctor has recommended we schedule a c section for October 25th.  So we for sure will be able to meet Lane Henry by then if not before.  We are so excited and cannot wait.  Time has gone by so fast and there is still a lot to be done in these last 2 weeks, but it will all fall into place.  God has blessed Jason and me beyond measure and we are so humbled and thankful.  Our God is good, all the time! :)

OED Shower

A few weeks ago my wonderful coworkers hosted a shower for Lane Henry.  It was so fun and everything was great!  It was a good to be around each other outside of work and celebrate Lane Henry.  Everybody I work with is so special and mean a lot to me.  I am so thankful for a good workplace that I enjoy going to everyday.
